Just over a week ago we had the difficult task of notifying you that during struggling times, our platform was at risk.

Due to forming a relationship between GunStreamer and the GunCritic team, today we are thrilled to announce that the GunStreamer platform is alive and well! With support from the GunCritic team, not only will the GunStreamer platform continue onward, it will grow to exciting new heights.

Yeah I've been texting Austin back and forth about the trolls trying to dance on GunStreamers grave prematurely. Though that still doesn't mean I don't want people on GunTube.org, hell I'd like to get more new LiveStreaming or even just normal consistent new videos up over there too. I'm certainly glad Austin was able to figure something out with GunCritic, but again. I've said this to others on Facebook, if you create content on YouTube or other Video Hosting Services it's a good idea to have at least 2 backup hard drives, 1. For your Raw Videos, and 2. For your Uploaded Videos. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT depend on Video Hosting Sites for backing up your Content.

nightstryke All my vids are on storage disk or flash drive I can upload anytime anywhere. My problem with most other sites is if they are gun oriented only then they may not want other channels like bushcraft or other outdoor pursuits. I am primarily a bushcraft channel, guns are just a part of that.

@RobertM: No I get that, quite honestly quite honestly it's hard to run a Video Hosting platform for just one subject like Firearms, the problem is all the other sites that host Videos Online are either paid or they don't want Firearms content because they're Headquartered in California. So it really doesn't help anyone. I wish there was a larger site that we could use that wasn't YouTube and wasn't Gun Specific but allowed for it, but that seems almost like a pipe dream at the moment with things going on.

@nightstryke: Yep. The only ones I know are lbry.tv and UGETube and UGETube is video file specific.

Good to hear. I never get an email from Gunstreamer except when I email them and even then I might not get one. Haha. It is very strange to me that they use back channels to make notifications rather than putting it up on their site. Seems like putting it up on the site would be easier than sending out a load of emails and posts on social media. Add the confusion from those of us not on social media and may not get an email from them.
