We can prevent mass shootings by prosecuting law enforcement and family members of the potential shooter for dereliction of duty and negligence when they have "evidence" of the threat to get a court order and don't act on it. This is clearly the case for almost every mass shooter. There is no need for Red Flag laws that violate due process and do nothing to prevent negligence. Negligence is why mass shooters have been able to kill. They have not been stopped before they act. The shootings will continue so long as there is negligence regardless of any laws. Having a well armed public that can stop the shooter is also key when law enforcement and family members fail in their obligations.
