The take down pin detent hole is threaded, 4X40 I believe. Can get a set screw to secure the detent and spring. I did that to all my areo lowers.
this is awesome . I used you video on youtube to build my first ar .
It's so nice to see installs if gun parts again. Awesome video, thanks.
awesome how did I miss this place, thanks for the heads up KB32
I’m so glad for this!
KB thanks for the video
Awesome
Thanks KB nice video u make it fun to watch
Better than YouTube already
4-40 is the perfect size to tap the rear takedown pin spring hole on an AR lower. Use a 4-40 x 1/8" set screw to secure the detent and spring. You have to clip 1/8"-3/16" off the spring, but you can now remove the castle nut/plate on a rifle without losing or bending the spring. Many lower manufacturers are now tapping this hole so you may not have to tap it yourself. I'm pretty sure AP does. I do this on all my builds, works great.
Like it better here than I ever did YT... Everything interested in and none of the BS
Thanks for telling us about gun streamer KB, I hope they come out with an app for the iPad soon.
I made it from U-tub. I'm with you KB. I love building ARs. I'll do my best staying awake watching someone else build one.
Excited about this. Sick of youtube censorship.
