Jacek “Jack” Waliszewski is an award-winning author, career-long U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret, was featured in the 3x Emmy Award winning documentary RETROGRADE and came to America as a political refugee as a result of the Cold War.

His most recent book, Code Name: SPIKE was discovered in the national archives, and he spent more than 5 years researching the memoir. It is the first Special Operations Memoir written after World War II, and after 80 years, the Department of Defense cleared it for publication in 2024. The memoir’s discovery was such that General Cleveland (Ret.) the U.S. Army Special Operations Commander in 2012-2015, called it “a trove of knowledge, inspiration, and wisdom… relevant in ways few such stories can be.”

Jacek’s adventures have spanned the globe and taken him to some of the most dangerous regions of the world. With more than fifteen Special Operations missions of various capacities under his belt, he is retiring as Chief Warrant Officer Two to pursue a life of adventure and purpose, and to be a loving and present father to his two sons. He holds a Bachelor's in International Relations and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation for the University of Oxford.
