John Eveland from North American CWD Project - Season II, Episode IIX
Join Matt Mallory and Klint Macro and their special guest John Eveland. John is a Wildlife Biologist, Ecologist, Forester, and the Director of the North American CWD Project. CWD or Chronic Wasting Disease is a huge threat to the deer herd and possibly hunters across the country. CWD is a disease is always fatal in deer, similar to mad cow, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease in humans. Not only does CWD pose a threat to deer, elk, and moose, and it potentially poses a threat to human health, but as it effects hunting, it will have an indirect threat to our 2A. The 2A is certainly not about hunting, but hunting is, for many young people, their first time where they exercise their Right To Keep and Bear Arms.
The North American CWD Project is dedicated to finding a cure for CWD. For decades conventional wisdom was that CWD was caused by a prion or a "mis-folded protein". The North American CWD Project has discovered that the prion is actually a symptom of a bacterium that is the true cause of CWD and many other Spiroplasma Bacterial Diseases.
