Jug Test of 250 grain Hornady XTP in 45 Colt+P

I conducted a controlled expansion test (in water jugs) of some handloaded 45 Colt+P. Both of my Rossi R92s like the 250 grain Hornady XTP over a stout load of Winchester 296 (~40,000psi). I was worried that 250gr XTP bullet would fail to penetrate when hunting pigs, especially at higher velocity, impacting at about 1650-1750 fps, so I tested it in water jugs. I was happy with the result, as many rifle loads fail to penetrate into a 4th jug. 40,000psi is a lot, so don't try these loads in a firearm weaker than the rossi or similiar modern 1892 pattern rifle....
