Kimber EVO Review: 1000 Rounds in...

In General

The 1000th round through the 9mm Kimber EVO SP.

In a row... no malfunctions, no maintenance, no lubrication.

Mostly Winchester white box, at least 100 rounds of hollow point ammo mixed in as well. We've had at least 9 different people try it out. I've got 500+ round through it myself, including 300 this afternoon.

It has been really impressive. I like the way it feels, I like the way it shoots. I also like the way it looks!

It is an expensive gun, with an MSPR of just over $1000... but, that's about the only negative thing I can say about it. If it takes $1000 for Kimber to put out a reliable defensive gun, so be it. Kimber Fans will have an option that it appears they can rely on to defend themselves or those they care about with.

The pistol has an alloy frame with G10 grip inserts, great stippling and texture and comes with high quality defensive (night) sights. The gun has been accurate and shoots faster than I'd expect from a gun this sized. 7+1 Capacity.
