I am not an advocate of leaving guns in the reach of anyone who has minimal knowledge of firearms and I am not a fan of trigger locks. Instead, a responsible gun owner should have a safe storage for their firearms and any guns outside of the safe should be on your person or reasonably put away. I am a firm believer that if you equip youth with safety knowledge and let them experience hands-on with firearms they will respect guns and they will become great people.
