In General
This is an 18” barreled Marlin .30/30, model 336BL, to which the following upgrades have been made:
—XS Sight Systems scout rail
—XS Sight Systems rear ghost ring and front white line iron sights
—Leupold 1.5-5x33 VX-R 30mm Scout Scope
—Ranger Point Precision Flyweight loading gate
This particular rifle is a Remlin, and not nearly as cleanly executed from the factory as the older "JM" stamped models, but it has a decent trigger and shoots VERY well with Hornady LeveRevolution 160 grain FXP ammunition - netting best velocity/energy, and accuracy for any of the loads I tested. With its 18” barrel and oversized loop, it’s a very "handy" rifle, and would make an outstanding truck gun for rural environments.
