Recent TV series "Masters of the Air" has shined an important light on the men of the 100th Bomb Group flying their B-17 bombers with tragic rates of attrition during their daring daylight bombing runs.

This May, Rock Island Auction Company has the great honor of auctioning the Union Switch & Signal M1911A1 pistol of Co-Pilot Arthur C. "Bud" Stipe, who completed a miraculous 25 missions over occupied Europe.
