McLean DRS Sling

Rob Pincus got to check out the McLean DRS Sling for the first time at the 2019 NRA Annual Meeting. He spent some time with the developer of this very efficiently convertible sling and found it very easy to use as well made.
The advantage of a single point sling for a defensive rifle is mobility. It is easier to move a single point slung rifle and it is generally easier to move with a rifle on a single point, especially in close quarters where you may need to transition quickly to your weak side, a retention shooting position or find an unorthodox shooting solution because of obstacles or to take advantage of cover.
Single point slings have the disadvantage of not securing the rifle to the body as well when you need both hands free during "admin" moment or after transitioning to another tool (such as your pistol). Traditional convertible slings require detaching one end of the loop that keeps the rifle attached to you when switching between single and two-point modes... the McLean DRS solves that problem with an innovative and efficient system for connecting and releasing the sling from the front of the rifle.
