Meme or Mighty? Palmetto State Armory .224 Valkyrie [Review]

In General

The fervor surrounding Federal's .224 Valkyrie's cartridge has fizzled since its initial launch due to inconsistent performance. Does Palmetto State Armory's new 1/6.5" twist barrel fix the issue? Stay tuned and find out!

In this video, we'll take a look at PSA's new 1/6.5" twist .224 Valkyrie upper receiver, and compare performance to the old 1/7" twist barrel that supposedly couldn't deliver accurate performance at range. After about 600 rounds, we found that the new .224 Valkyrie barrel performs about a half MOA better than the previous iteration with Nosler tipped .224 ammunition. Interestingly, the 1/7" twist barrel performs slightly better with .224 target ammo.
