Knives are like guns. They are all tools. I have lots of knives. Gerbers, Bucks, Cases, Schrades, Moras, Camillus (old Camillus not new), SAKs, Barlows, and loads of cheap ones. Folders and fixed blades. My most used full tang fixed blade knives are my Moras (tapered full tang). My best full tang machete is my Schrade SCHKM1. I have four machetes. One military surplus, one commercial, one Cold Steel, and the Schrade.

Make that five machetes. I forgot I have a Gerber Gator machete. The small medium duty one with a saw back. Its a good machete also for light to medium duty.
