Night Carbine AR Pistol Session

In General

Quick dusk session in the dark with random ammo I have accumulated over the years. Working from 125yds down to about 100 with the 11.5" PSA AR-Pistol and the Streamlight TLR-1HL.
Four things I learned from this session.
1: Bring new batteries to the party if the ones in use have any mileage in them. Have them in the lamps already. Don't wait till dark.
2: Clean all optical surfaces thoroughly before night sessions. High power lamps exacerbate dust and particulates on the lenses, clouding the view.
3: Don't learn in darkness that your hat is going to be pushed down by whatever you have strapped to your head. If it starts happening...change out quickly. Don't just keep pushing it up. Fix it.
4: Don't expect to have a good time shooting rando reloads in the dark. They'll leave you hanging like a dogs balls. Bring the good stuff you trust.
