I have a buddy that works for OSS Suppressors that let me take the new OSS Rad 22 for a spin a few months back. Life has been crazy and I am just now uploading this. I wanted to try out the OSS Rad 22 suppressor to see how it compared to my SilencerCo Sparrow and SilencerCo Spectre II. All three are great suppressors and each one has its own strengths.

I feel that the biggest strength of the OSS Rad 22 suppressor is its patented flow-through baffleless system. It slows down the expanding gases by swirling it around back and forth in the suppressor before leaving the front end. This reduces backpressure which can mitigate debris getting blown back into your face on some 22lr hosts. I experienced this a couple of times. I got some debris back into my face with the SiCo cans but not the OSS. I imagine higher pressure rounds like 17HMR, 22WMR, 5.7x28mm, etc. would be even more noticeable.

I feel that they all sound the same to my ears. Neither one really sounded quieter than the other when testing consistently with the same host/ammo combo. But the lack of debris back into your face is a big plus.

Overall I like the OSS Rad 22 suppressor and it will be my next 22lr suppressor purchase. Thanks for watching.
