My recent trip to the low country in South Carolina. I was stationed on a ship in the mid to late 80s out of the weapons station. The USS Mount Baker, AE34. My favorite duty station in the Navy, not the ship it sucked. I could have stayed in Charleston forever.

You bet, the place is like Disney World for shooters. Kind of overwhelming.

I like PSA. Have been buying from them for a long time and always recommend their parts for those with budget constraints. My wife's 1 and only AR15 was built using mostly PSA parts. Their customer service for online purchases used to be hit or miss. I had one bad experience probably 3 years ago that kinda pissed me off, but I've purchased from them many times since then. All companies will have a bad day, customer service wise...it's when it's consistently a problem, I will start looking elsewhere. On another note...I sure enjoyed my time in the Navy! Spent a good amount of time in Norfolk (wife's from there so we go back often).

I started buying from them online about two years ago, and heard similar complaints. Good products for the cost if you didn’t mind waiting. Slow to ship I guess. I never had an issue online and always received my items within a week. I was finally stationed in the Norfolk area in 1992, I avoided it like the plague because of listening to old sailors talk about how the locals didn’t like us. When I got here, found it was quite the opposite. I was never actually stationed at NOB was always at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Virginia Base. Loved the area but moved an hour south to be in the country.

@NC Gun Guy : Sometimes PSA is really fast to ship out, other times not so much. My only issue was I ordered something that was in stock, was told it was out of stock shortly after. They said they'd be getting more in, but then after 3-4 weeks of waiting, they cancelled my order without any notice. Basically I wasted time, I was helping a friend with a build and this barrel was the missing link. Yea Norfolk wasn't too bad, other than being fairly crowded. I left there in 2001 for Dahlgren Naval base, then was out in 04'
