Perception - The Lost Tool In A Patriots Aresenal

First, sorry for the shotty video, my apologies.

I was honored to speak at the MO State Capitol in support of our gun rights. The people I encountered were amazing!

During my speech, I wanted to leave people with something that would resonate; something to ponder on. I want you to listen to the applause and celabration when I say 1776! The crowd knows it is a date in which they can never forget! A date that will always be near and dear to the hearts of so many, and rightfully so! Their perception is a reality of a will to fight and why our gun rights are so damn important!!!

Perception...Focus on the moment when I say 1921 (silence) 1907, which I meant 1917, although 1907 sucked as well (silence) and a few cheers for 1865, but not for the reason I was mentioning it. You see relatability helps understand and unify.

1921 Tulsa, OK, a Black American community was formed. This community was self contained, thriving, and a model for economic stability. So much so, even Wall Street in NY took notice. A community full of people who didnt want any handouts and refused to be crushed under the pressure of a radically racist America. (I mean it was the roaring 20s). This town was destroyed because of a vicious lie that was told and led to a trail (please look it up), that would impact generations to come. The town was burned, literally bombed from the air, people killed in the streets, and families scattered into the wind. These people had very few arms and they couldn't hold back the angry mob. They lost everything because they couldn't protect themselves. They were subject to restrictive laws. These people needed to be able to exercise their rights and truly couldn't and an entire community and its economic structure fell. BTW, a police plane could be seen dropping the bombs on the town..hows that for tyranny. "The Government will always protect you, right?"

1917 and the East St. Louis riots. Police investigation gone bad. Resulted in over 250 people in the community being killed. On the ground reports stated that angry White mobs, Police, and National Gaurdsmans were all involved in one way or another in the hurting of the community. The state of MO would not allow people to run to safety, they were forced to stay on IL and be slaughtered. Finally, the Militia marched people to safety. The town was destroyed and generations decimated. The area never recovered and remains one of the most poorest communities in the nation. These people had no right to defend themselves and IL to this very day still has "interesting" gun laws.

Perception right? It is okay to be educated. Doesnt make anyone stupid, just means as we align together we need to understand how people from different walks of life will perceive things. Sometimes we need to present information in a way that truly touches someone, not necessarily what has always driven us. It's easier to have a conversation when people really feel like you understand their perspective or you have given them a new view point for consideration.

Be strong, stand tall, be ready to learn, and together we can better arm ourselves intellectually to united and win this fight! 1776 - 1921, we should understand all Americans struggles. 1921 - current, research and truly understand individual stories so we can join and stand United.
