I've seen a version of this at the NRA convention. My concern was that I didn't know if it would pick up in thicker grass, which is what I have. Have you tried it in heavier coverage?

Have not tried in real long or thick grass. Should work on some anyway.

They will pick up in grass, but the biggest issue with this design. is that it is common for brass to be flung through the slots as it wears out. I do not suggest it for long term use of small caliber brass. Instead, I suggest getting one of those mechanical arms with a scoop kind of claw and a small bucket on a stick with some mesh mounted on the bottom to shake the dirt out.

yep, this is a great idea many have never thought of. ....and, having problems is not exclusive to veterans, it is the plight of every person that gets older and or fatter! :)

I've seen these before, but haven't tried it yet. I can use all the help I can get, only part of range time I don't care for.

That is a beneficial idea... I wonder if it would work on concrete, or does it need the give of turf.

It works on concrete too. First time I saw it used was at an outdoor range with concrete under shooting benches.
