Real Deal: Field Test of 6 plate Target Rack System

In General

I wanted to shoot some steel & instead of spending thousands of dollars on a system I had some guys try to come up with a 6 plate resettable target rack system.

For a first time product it works but it could use some improvements too. Overall I am pleased.

Anyway thanks for watching & remember to leave comments, suggestions & tips below, or add a video response.

Enjoy,

steve

Looks good for a home-made system, looks terrible for a system you paid money for. I would very much recommend paying for AR-500 rounds for the lollypops. I've built home-made targets out of mild steel, and it's a losing battle, over time they get messed up, and now you have to deal with a device that's heavy, difficult to move around, and covered in sharp edges just begging to snag your clothing and skin. After you shoot it enough, it'll do nothing but thirst for your blood. My big suggestion: Don't use bolts for attaching the targets, use pins, like captive trailer pins, that way when you go to move the rack you can pull all the round plates off easily. I can't tell what hardware you used, but it looks possibly too fancy for this application. Then again, steel plates are tricky, I had nothing but problems during the inaugural rifle golf match.
