Yes there are exceptions to rules. But if you follow the rule’s intent that is what is important. We should be supportive of one another and not be overly critical as a community or people will not want to learn. Other rules I try to follow: Guns live in holsters. Double/Triple check your firearm is clear before cleaning. Check your holster and make sure it is clear before reholstering.
