This is technically the Remington Model 1897 Improved Small-bore Military Rifle so it is no wonder it was nicknamed many other (shorter) things like the Rolling Block, No. 5, Model 1902 (or Model 1901 for that matter), the French M1914 and others.
Most would call it a Remington Rolling Block but since they went through so many variations collectors needed a few nicknames to distinguish from the different models. Remington called it "improved" because of it's special manufacturing to handle smokeless powder, namely from the 7X57 Mauser cartridge that this example is chambered in.
The high quality snap caps, some call them dummy rounds, used in this video are from realisticsnapcaps.com where coupon code milsurpgarage gets you 10% off at checkout and as always, no shipping.
