The Nikon software is an advantage to the reloader and shooter. For the reloader, this software and BDC reticle technology enables the reloader to take his developed cartridge and better apply it to the BDC reticle scope in understanding bullet drop and how to compensate for it.

also of note is that if you click the button that says "Expand BDC Circles" it will give you range data for top/middle/bottom of each circle as well as the distance to the diamond between each circle if your scope has it. it's a great idea to print of a copy of that and keep it with you or what I do is tape it to my stock with clear packing tape.
