It seems like the deck is stacked against 5.45x39 rifles. It's never been a popular cartridge in the US but it was gaining some traction. Then Obama banned the import of 7N6 and sales dropped off. Over time we started to see 5.45x39 AK's take off again in sales. Now the US is shutting down most, if not all, Russian imports because of the Ukrainian war so what does that mean for 5.45x39 AK's? I suspect there will become a big market for 5.56 AK's.
