Looks like rubbing on the sleeve and after over 2500 rounds not surprising. There is a dark coating over the carburized surface for looks to darken but the hard outer carburized surface is not affected under the paint coating. The slide and frame chassis is stainless steel. Both have a Nitron or carburized finish with an oxide over coat. Your 365 looks fine. Most pistols after 1000 rounds should have a tune up just like your car. The main recoil spring is the big one for replacement as it looses strength. You may start to notice slides not locking back on the last round and the beginning of feed and ejection problems not related to the mags. Wear between the slide and frame will be more severe as the slide is working harder. All signs to replace the main recoil spring. However with this pistol according to a gun engineer with 8500 rounds on his its still running fine and the parts still look good. He says that the P365 should have a service life of 20,000 rounds. I have over 500 rounds on mine right now. If you want to tune it up or upgrade parts from old to new then you can get them from SIG or let them do it for you. I would not worry about it. The pistol is designed to last. Thanks for sharing.
