Smith & Wesson 586 .357 w/target hammer and trigger

In General

I just got the 586 back from my gunsmith. He installed a target hammer and target trigger that I picked up last year. That wide trigger gives me a very positive grip with my finger.

I meant to say two of the chambers in the cylinder were out of sync with the barrel. Which can cause premature erosion of the forcing cone among other things.

While performing the install he noticed gun had some work done. We will never know the complete history of a gun when bought used.

I recommend you take all used guns to your smiths so that he can make sure its safe to shoot. In this case one of the springs was trimmed too short and the timing was off on two of the chambers. It cost a little over $100 to install and fit the hammer and trigger, sync up the cylinder and replace the springs that were at fault.
