Striker Fired 45 ACP. My "Go To" Defensive Choice.

We all have reasons for carrying what we carry for EDC/Self Defense. This is my reasoning in somewhat of a nut shell as to why I like the good ol' 45 ACP and why I like it in a modern, striker fired handgun platform. I know it's going to be controversial, especially the part about why I don't like the 1911a1 platform but hey, it is what it is and it's the way I feel about it and I'm stickin' with my comments so flame away if you must.
