Survival Chili for the End of the World
"Survival Chili for the End of the World", sounds way more "Tactical" than "Easy One Pot Meals, Ready in 30 Minutes." But hey, ya gotta eat, in good times and bad, so here you go....
Ingredients:
One pound of Beef Stew Meat or Ground Beef, etc.
One can each of Bush's Best Dark Red Kidney Beans, Black Beans and Pinto Beans
One 4 ounce can of Hunt's Tomato Sauce (Not Paste)
1 to 1.5 ounces of Mexene Brand Chili Powder to taste
Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning to taste
Fresh Ground Pepper and Sea Salt to taste
One bottle or can of Guinness Draught Beer or 12 ounces of water (Use the Beer Please)
Sliced Green and Red Peppers, plus White Onions to taste (Fresh or Frozen)
Options
Garnish with freshly grated Sharpe Cheddar Cheese and Sour Cream
Serve over White Rice, if that's your thing.
Note: If using pre-cooked canned meat, rinse off in cool water so the meat is free of seasonings or preservatives. Add cooked meat to chili in the final 15 minutes, so as not to over cook meat but still give it time to soak up the chili juices.
