I have two Canik TP-9 pistols. My wife claimed the black and silver one. I was able to get a Desert Tan, when there were none in the country.

For some reason the Desert Tan had many FTE issues. I was putting a drop of 3 in 1 oil on each rail. Last time I put on some grease & had no issues in ~200 rounds. IDK if the different finish is a factor, or it is a slide & rail tight fit.


The Desert Tan model needs to have the slide greased to prevent FTE & FTF malfunctions. The silver slide model does not, it only requires oil.
