Testing the Bear Creek Arsenal 20" Nitride Treated .308 barrel
The following is a brief look at the following Bear Creek Arsenal Barrel:
Model: B308RMW20110(M)
Length: 20"
Caliber: .308 Winchester
Rifling Twist Rate: 1:10
Gas System Length: Rifle
Barrel Profile: SOCOM
Feed Ramps: AR10
Barrel Material: 4150 CMV
Finish: Nitride
Groups shown were shot from a concrete bench, with front and rear sandbag rests.
Range conditions:
Temperature: 30F
Wind: 5MPH Gusts
Barrel was cleaned before shooting. And after initial sight-in.
Build notes:
-Barrel was free floated.
-Barrel extension and upper receiver had a tight interference fit.
-Barrel nut was torqued and loosened 3x before final torque value.
-Gas block was aligned properly, and taper pinned.
-Muzzle device used a crush washer, but was pre-crushed before installation so that it could be installed only 1/16th of a turn past hand tight.
Lower receiver has a RA-140 Single stage trigger that breaks right at 4lbs.
As with all videos I post, I'm not sponsored in any way by anybody or any entity. I'm just a guy who likes to test cheap barrels.
All weapons pictured are legally owned by me.
This review may not be indicative of every barrel bearing the same model. This is just my experience with this barrel.
