Testing the Bear Creel Arsenal 16" 5.56 1:8 twist M4 profile barrel.
Finally back!
Today I tested the 16" M4 profile Bear Creek Arsenal barrel chambered in 5.56 with a 1:8 twist.
I got this barrel free from BCA on Veteran's day, and merely had to pay the flat $10.00 shipping fee. FYI, if you're a vet, every year they give away free AR15 barrels.
Sorry for the relatively low quality of the camera. My other camera started having buzzing on the audio, and is out of commission.
This build was done to see how inexpensively I could build a complete AR15.
My grand total was $223.00 for the complete rifle, minus the scope and scope mount.
Testing was done from a concrete bench at a distance of 100 yards.
One 5 round group was fired per ammo type.
Weather was gusting wind and temperatures in the 20's. (It was COLD)
