Testing out 10mm VS .357 Magnum with common defensive ammunition. I am using two specific handguns for specific reasons, the main reason is that the 10mm pistol is a Glock 41 .45 ACP with a 5.32" 10mm conversion barrel making bullet nose to muzzle about 4.1". The .357 Magnum revolver is a S&W 686 with a 4" barrel making the bullet nose to muzzle 4.1", so very very fair platforms for testing, not to mention that ammunition is usually rated in a 5" barrel for 10mm and a 4" barrel for .357 Magnum. Today I am testing the Speer Gold Dot ammunition, which uses bonded jacketed hollow points. The 10mm is a 200 gr bonded jacketed hollow point rated at 1,100 FPS and the .357 Magnum is a 135 gr bonded jacketed short barrel hollow point rated at 990 FPS. Always appreciative of any channel help :)
