In this video we will be discussing the finer points of colt deciding to stop selling A.R. 15鈥檚 to the civilian market and how I think this decision is actually a positive move for the company in the long run

I noticed TyrantTube did not notify me of this video. Went to your channel and did not see it there. So I guess TyrantTube killed it. Either that or they are slow about putting it up. Keep putting up the videos, Matt. Folks like your content. Gun companies only care about their ability to manufacture domestically, not about the product or what they manufacture. Their executive boards ironically are infiltrated with socialist leftists who are anti Bill of Rights. They are for illegal gun control in contradiction to their products and their customers lawful rights. Reality is stranger than fiction. Like you said, some of them are more gun control than others. They are pro capitalists and NRA has been their public voice and puppet all these years.

Palmetto wouldn't buy Colt. Customers cannot even place phone orders with them. If they can't afford to maintain a phone order system then how are they going to buy Colt? A bigger company would have to buy Colt out. Like Smith or Winchester or Mossberg or Marlin. Somebody big. Remington is in bankruptcy thanks to Cerberus Capital Management and is looking for investors.

@RobertM: Savage/Stevens has got problems as Vista Outdoor is selling the company. I think Winchester should buy out Colt.

@CRS Firearms : That would be good but I wonder if Brownells is that stupid. Chris Bartocci used to work for Colt and this is what he had to say about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt3DCqdnn8w

@RobertM: A lot of gun companies are having problems right now and some of those I already listed. Winchester Olin Herstal (Browning FN) has shut down US gun production and is out sourcing from Asia as far as I know. So it joins Weatherby in Asia out sourcing. Now Browning and Winchester have their benchmark rifles but the cost of those rifles have gone up making them less affordable. So they are catering to the affluent class who can afford them.

@RobertM: FN USA is based in South Carolina and Browning is in Utah but Winchester is still in Conneticut where costs are higher for production.

@RobertM: My mistake. FN USA is in Virginia.

@RobertM: What I mean by outsourcing is parts are made in Asia and assembly is done in the US. Assembly has been done in Portugal, and at FN Herstal South Carolina (as opposed to the office in Virginia). Its like Taurus making parts in Brazil but assembling in Miami.

@RobertM: It complicated to explain when you have manufacturing of parts worldwide and assembly done in various other places. The point is, they are cutting labor costs to make the product. Haha.

@RobertM: it鈥檚 all part of a free market FN I heard from a source that鈥檚 probably not or may not be reliable they鈥檙e selling their AR 15 to the military for $600 for us well over $1000 Throw that $600 FN rifle on the civilian market and they will dominate

@CRS Firearms : FN is selling the M-16 M4 to the military for $600. Chris Bartocci listed the price on his latest video on Colt. Colt was selling the same rifle to the military for $1200. Now the military gets two for the price of one.
