We had a meeting with VCDL, the organizers of the event, a state delegate, NRA rep and GOA rep.

A. Please leave all long guns in the truck. It is a city statue they are not to be open carried.

B. Open carry is legal for VA residents. Capitol Police may check IDs.

C. They are expecting 50 to 100 THOUSAND. Go grey man.

D. At this time it is a rule that you cannot carry INSIDE the building. Outside on the Capitol grounds is good to go... at this time. Watch the VCDL for updates.

E. Parking will be available at the Diamond, a baseball stadium. VCDL will provide a bus shuttle. It is a 45 minute walk to the capitol grounds from the stadium.

F. There are areas that are super sketchy. Keep your head on a swivel and walk in groups. Stay off your phone while walking through these areas.

As of yesterday Governor suspends gun carry on capital grounds as well.

Correction, he is suspending carry today, due to rally on Monday. They are estimating 10s of thousands of people. They can’t arrest everyone!

The governor seems to be escalating his plans to completely snuff out gun rights. Every day he seems to be pushing the envelope further and further. I think that the future of Free America might be decided in Virginia. I didn't think it was going to come to a head so fast, but he's pretty much backing free Virginians into a corner.

He has pushed to far to fast and people are finally sick of it. Banning firearms on capital grounds, calling a state of emergency! He did that so he can call out the national guard. He is running scared and he should be. He and the rest of them have pushed and pushed and like you said have finally pushed people into a corner and we are not backing up any farther. NOT ONE MORE INCH!
