Water Jug Ballistics, 45 Colt +P, Powder Coated Lee 230gr Truncated Cone.

This was a water jug ballistics test of a 45 LC +P load; I loaded powder coated 230gr Lee, cast from range scrap, on top of a Ruger only load of Alliant 2400 powder. My range notes indicate that this load was moving at about 1650 fps. Lots of penetration, through 6 jugs and into 50 Lbs of corn; the expanded bullet measured about .60".
