XPD-48 Development Update, 2/28/21
Another progress update on the XPD-48 project!
I'm now officially in collaboration with the AWCY Community... and my CAD has been compared to Escher. My file has been accused of crashing a super computer. A community that is largely defined by decentralization and challenging orthodoxy has told me that I can't do it that way. 😂🤷🏻"♂️
The good news that the latest version, seen at the range in this vid, is a lot cleaner looking than the last few iterations that have suffered from my lack of CAD Elegance.
Also, my first operational pistol from just before Christmas finally a gave up during a class a couple of days ago. It was over 600 rounds in and a lot of people got to try it out. It was killed by a Green Beret who has been a student of the CFS Program since the early days of the Valhalla Training Center. It was made from the sample roll of PLA that came with my Ender-5.... and, the grip area was really thin, suffering from my very first contouring experiments in CAD....so, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.
They are still a few slots available for the GFEN Maker's Match coming up in June.... and plenty of time for you to get something ready to compete with!
