Zastava M77 basic info, 922r legal modifications, etc.
In this video I share some of my feelings and experiences about the Zastava M77 semi-auto .308 rife. The way that the rifle is currently configured SHOULD be within compliance of 922r regulations. As the rifle was imported already compliant, any parts that I have swapped out, have been done so with parts marked "Made in the USA" so I do believe that in it's current state, my M77 is 922r compliant. I'm making a big deal about it because the whole 922r thing is a bit confusing for me so I'm doing the best I can to follow the rules. A Tapco G2 trigger is on its way and I run the rifle with CSSPECS magazines which are also 100% American made.
If anyone wants to share their interpretation of 922r and whether or not my rifle needs further modifications, please as there are many of us out there that simply do not understand the rules, especially when we don't know what was done to our rifles to make them compliant when they were first imported.
Even box stock, the M77 (aside from the horrible magazine) is a fantastic rifle for the money. Just keep watching CSspecs.com for more details on magazines.
